Blood Sugar Lowers with Dried Fruit and Nuts

Manu people believe dried fruits and nuts are not suitable as snack food, particularly for those who try to control blood sugar and energy intake. After the fruits are made into dried fruits, the sugar content may be increased, and the dried fruits may be too sweet while nuts contain too much grease. People are discouraged.

Food Nutrition and Analysis Laboratory of College of Food Science & Nutritional Engineering, China Agricultural University carried out relevant tests to discuss sugar increase index of dried fruit; and discussed influence on postprandial blood glucose after switching some rice to dried fruit and matching dried fruit and nuts.
