Some merchants said, the nuts sales has just begun at present, and with the approaching of the footsteps of Spring Festival, the prices will still fluctuate, but whether rising or falling should be dependent on market conditions.

It is learned from some nuts shops in the market that the nuts prices generally rise. “Like pistachios, the retail price of it is around 45 yuan in last year, while the wholesale price in this year has reached this price.” Pistachio is one with the highest price rising at present, and such prices of as pine nuts and walnut have been risen.

A citizen who is purchasing hulled flat walnuts in a supermarket said, “the price of flat walnuts in the supermarket is 23.9 yuan per jin now, and it is cheaper than the price in the markets outside due to the promotion, but the price is still risen compared with last year.”

In this year, there’s almost no falling in prices, for example, the price of melon seeds rises nearly one yuan or so, and only the prices of pecans and hazelnut fall slightly. Experts analyzed that the reasons of the rising of nuts prices are mainly the effects of the increase of transportation cost and the rising of labor wage cost.
