The EU project on “the sustainable production and consumption model in Chinese food supply chain and authentication tools research' is officially launched in February this year.
The project aims to improve the production capacity of food industry, promote the sustainable mode of production, and by helping and encouraging consumers to choose sustainable and ecological food, promote sustainable consumption. The specific goals of the project are to help small and medium-sized food enterprises to improve the work efficiency, environmental performance and corporate social responsibility, improve the brand awareness, increase export capacity and products penetration in domestic and international market; to help and encourage consumers to choose the sustainable and ecological products; to train the local service providers as professional trainers or consultants, in order to realize the replication of the thought and method of success, so as to ensure the sustainability of project outcomes.
