The press conference on the publication of “Chinese food safety development report (2013)” and “China food safety network public opinion development report (2013)” held in Beijing on February 28th.

The development report appointed that 'the overall stability and being better' is the fundamentals of the food safety in China at present and will become the basic trend of food safety risk of our country in a period in the future. Most of the food safety incidents in our country in recent years are mainly human factors. The contradiction between the decentralized and small scale food production and the risk management is one of the most fundamental core problems. The optimization and constraint of the behavior of the food production and management body and the changing of the production mode has become the basic choice and the inevitable course of our country's prevention and control of food safety risk current and in a period in the future. We must learn from international experience, summarize the domestic practice and grasp the common law of the world food security governance development to build the 'food safety risk governance system' with China characteristics.
