The “2014 International Forum on Food Safety” themed as “strengthening the scientific foundation of food safety and realizing social shared governance” will be held jointly by CIFST, IUFOST and China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment in Beijing during April 15 – April 18, 2014.
Professor Patrick Wall, the former Chairman of EFSA and professor of University College Dublin Ireland will deliver an important report on how the industry, supervision and non-government organization make joint effort to protect the health of consumers. Joe Jen, the Co-Chair of IUFOST Food Safety Commission and former undersecretary of USDA will analyze the future of our food safety. Professor Isabel Walls, the food safety epidemiology project leader of USDA State Food and Agriculture Institute, and the former president of IAFP, Frank Yinnas, the vide president of Wal-Mart in charge of food safety, and Jeremy Hill, the CTO, IDF chairman and President of Fonterra Co-operative Group will respectively discuss the issues of overseas food safety culture, food safety development tendency and how food enterprises to guarantee food safety more effectively.
In addition, the forum will carry out special seminar on the hot food safety issues recently in China.
