According to China National Food Industry Association, prime operating revenue of China’s food industry reached RMB 9.28 trillion Yuan in 2013, an increase of 14.3% from 2012, and food import and export reached RMB 153.16 billion Yuan, an increase of 8.1% from 2012. With rapid economic growth, food industry has become China’s pillar industry in national economy.

In Food & Beverage Innovation Forum 2014 held on May 15 in Shanghai, Du He, vice-secretary of China National Food Industry Association display a market which is admired by world agricultural supplier and food tycoon. In 2013, China’s food industry showed an increase of profits in 47 out of 56 sectors and a drop of profits in 9 sectors.
