The 9^th Meeting of the 12^th NPC Standing Committee conducted preliminary deliberation on the Food Safety Law of the People’s Republic of China (Draft Amendment).

Centered on the overall requirement of establishing the strictest food safety supervisory system determined by the Third Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, this amendment is to establish the strictest whole-process supervisory system and the strictest all-party legal liability system by highlighting prevention first and risk prevention to a greater degree, thus implementing shared social governance of food safety.
