On the 6th Taiwan and mainland food industry cooperation and exchange conference held on July 29, Mr. Guo Xiang, the director of the Consumable Industry Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information of China pointed out that, in recent years, China food industry has obtained certain achievements in aspects of accelerating the food standard integration; enhancing the quality guarantee capability building and perfecting the social supervision, etc. The overall food quality safety level has been improved significantly and the food safety has become stable and positive. However, there still exist certain risk factors. He thought that, currently, China food industry development is restricted by three factors.
Firstly, viewing from the industrial organization structure; there are few large and medium-sized enterprises; the massive and intensive level is low; the small, scattered and low patterns have not fundamental change and the small and micro enterprises and small workshops still account for about 80% of the whole industry.
Secondly, viewing from the safety guarantee conditions, the effective connection of the raw material guarantee, food processing and product marketing of the food processing enterprise is insufficient; the food quality standard system is not perfect and it is urgent to strengthen the detection and monitoring technology guarantee capability.
Thirdly, viewing from the enterprise quality improvement, the good faith and moral culture building is delayed; few food producers are immoral and dishonest, and the quality safety still exists hidden dangers.
