In August, the State Council Food Safety Office’s Notification to Develop the Work of Creating the Pilot Food Safety City was issued and Hebei, Hubei, Shandong and Shaanxi were determined as the pilot provinces to explore the food safety city creation.

　　Through pilot work, four provinces will explore the mode of taking the city creation as a means to enhance the effective measure and working mechanism for food safety guarantee level; radiate the food safety work of the whole province and improve the overall food safety level of the whole province, so as to accumulate experience for the national food safety city creation activities.
