        The Law on Safe Production has been voted and passed in the 10^th Session of the 12^th NPC Standing Committee on Aug. 31. Through two deliberations, the revised Law on Safe Production further enhances the penalty on production and operation units for illegal behaviors, especially on the person in charge of the units. The main revisions contain the following three aspects: firstly, the units in which the safe production accidents occurred will be fined for 200,000 Yuan to 20 Million Yuan according to grades of accident; secondly, the main person in charge if production and operation unit who failed to perform the management responsibility of safe production will be fined for 30% to 80% of the annual income according to grades of accident; thirdly, the main person in charge if production and operation unit who took main responsibility of serious and extremely serious production safety accidents shall not serve as the main person in charge of production and operation units in the industry.

        The revised Law on Safe Production will carry out since Dec. 1, 2014.
