On September 5, 2014, the 2014 China Peanuts Annual Meeting and Peanuts Expo was held in Qingdao.

       In recent years, Qingdao agricultural products still maintain a stable export volume. In 2013, Qingdao exported USD540 million of peanuts, accounting for 10.7% of all agricultural products of Qingdao, a rise of 4.7% comparing to that in previous year. And the peanuts export covers 87 countries and areas with exported varieties developing from export of pure raw materials to the export of diversified products including baked peanuts, roasted peanuts, roasted peanut kernel, fried peanuts and other peanut products.
