This year, the main sunflower seeds production areas throughout China have enjoyed high yields with good quality. The output volume rises by 10% comparing last year.

    Comparing with similar products in other areas, Xinjiang production area’s products have even better quality. The average price for the same products and same quality in Beitun, Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang decreases by 0.8-0.9 yuan/kilo comparing with the same period of last year. And as Jichang area’s sunflower seeds have earlier maturation, the purchase period lasted over 20 days, but the average price decreased by 1 yuan/kilo comparing with the same period of last year.

    The output volume and price level of other sunflowers seed production area such as North East and Gansu are similar with above areas.

    Currently, the processing enterprises have rushed to the processing bases to select and purchase sunflower seeds, so as to make full preparation for the coming peak season.
