“2014 China’s Food Security & Food Safety Strategy Summit” is ended successfully in Beijing on November 7. The summit is guided by Development Research Center of the State Council and co-hosted by Rural Economy Research Department, DRC and Almanac of China’s Economy Press. More than 200 personnel from Chinese and foreign government sectors, think-tanks and business circles closely focus on the theme of “continuously improving the capacity of food security and food safety by reform and innovation”, with a view to comprehensively deepening the policy reform of food and agriculture, and mainly discuss several critical issues, such as food security and food safety strategy, food trade, agricultural science and technology innovation, agricultural sustainable development, etc.

       Ever since 2013, the China’s Food Security & Food Safety Strategy Summit has developed lively discussions and communications on numerous critical issues, such as China’s food security situation, global food security and China’s role, the reform of China’s food price circulation system, food enterprises’ going out; at the same time, a good platform with mutual benefit and win-win result as well as synergetic development has been provided for Chinese and foreign food enterprises to march toward internationalization.
