Due to continuous declination of price, farmers stock up and are reluctant to sell out while processing enterprises and dealers also slow down the purchasing progress so that the sunflower seed purchasing market in Bayan Nur City, especially Wuyuan County is extremely slack. Large amount of sunflower seeds are overstocked by farmers, and the situation that the sunflower seeds are difficult to sell is still severe. At present, at least 50% sunflower seeds are still stocked by farmers. The buyers are less and less, and the price continuous to go down. In view of costs, the sunflower seeds farmers are reluctant to sell.

Aiming at current situation, Xin Jun, the Deputy Director General of Bayan Nur Bureau of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, believes that the farmers may not sell at the price they expected by stocking up. On the contrary, they may suffer from unsalable situation due to price falling in later period. Xin suggests farmers sell the stocked sunflower seeds in time so that they can get cash to guarantee for the spring plowing.

　  Currently, relevant local departments are actively leading farmers to eliminate the idea of stocking up, and also contacting purchasers via various means such as network, TV program, foreign trade platform and promotion meetings. Meanwhile, the financial departments are coordinated actively to help the purchasing enterprises gain credit funds and expand procurement amount of sunflower seeds.
