AQSIQ Imported Food Spot Check: 3000 Batches Products Unqualified

The other day, the Import and Export Food Safety Agency of AQSIQ released the list of unqualified imported food in January, 2015. As inquired from the spot check information during February, 2014 to January, 2015, there are over 3000 batches of imported foods are unqualified.

   

In the recent 12 terms of unqualified imported foods, the total amount of frozen and fresh products is large. Other products involved contain meet, seafood, fast foods, infant foods, wind and beverage. The nonconforming items contain unqualified certificate and pathogenic bacterium. It is worth noting that ractopamine is checked out in the pork products imported in July 2014 by Qingdao Lianhe Youhe Food Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Binhai Jinhui Logistics Co., Ltd. It is learned that ractopamine is a kind of lean meat powder. As announced by spot check, the unqualified products have been destroyed.


The unqualified imported retail products under spot check area: Lotte series cookies, Hershey white chocolate, TIPO cookies, Cadbury milk cookie, Good good eat products, Maxims five kernel moon cake, etc. Totally 1000 batches of snacks are returned or destroyed due to nonconformance by inspection.Transgenic components are checked out in Yung Ho Soybean milk.


The products involved in spot check announcement have been returned, destroyed or used for other purpose. The unqualified batches of products are not sold in domestic market.
