Price of Edible Agricultural Products Drops Down Slightly in Mid-March, 2015

As supervised by the Commerce Department, prices of edible agricultural products in 36 large and medium cities around the nation continue to drop down from September 9 to 15, while the capital goods price in the circulation stops rising and drops.

The average prices of 18 vegetables drop by 5.9% over the previous week. The market volumes of balsam pear, cucumber, and green pepper rise, but their prices drops by 14.9%, 14.4%, and 12.2% respectively on month-to-month basis. Prices of eggs and chicken drop by 2.3% and 0.1% respectively. The price of meat drops. Prices of pork, mutton, and beef drop by 1.7%, 0.9%, and 0.1%. Price of aquatic products drops by 1.2% over the previous week. Products with top dropping extents are hairtail (3.4%), little yellow croaker (2.3%), and small hairtail (1.6%). Price of edible oil fluctuates slightly. Prices of soybean oil and peanut oil drop by 0.3% and 0.2% over the previous week. The price of colza oil rises by 0.2% on month-to-month basis. Grain price is steady in general. The flour price stays the same while the rice price rises by 0.2% over the previous week.
