Administrative Measures for Food Recall, issued by the China Food and Drug Administration, regulating that once the food production operator is informed that the food is insecure, the food concerned shall be recalled, is to be implemented on September 1. Level I recall is to be initiated within 24 hours.

A few food enterprises principals expressed that in order to implement the food recall policy, there are four obstacles, such as imperfect food standard and difficult recall method, to be overcome. Needless to say, however, the most important point is the social responsibilities assumed by enterprises themselves.
