The
monthly report for May of London-based International Grains Council (IGC) shows
the Chinese corn output is expected to be 220 Million Ton for the year 2015/16
(from October, 2015 to September 2016), slightly higher than 219 Million Ton
predicted earlier, and also higher than 215.7 Million Ton in the previous year.
Report shows that the predicted import volume of Chinese corn is 3 Million Ton, slightly lower than the 4 Million Ton predicted earlier and lower than the 4 Million Ton in the previous year. The total supply of Chinese corn in 2015/16 is 311.8 Million Ton, consistent with earlier prediction. The total supply is 301.8 Million Ton in the previous year.
Report shows the total consumption of Chinese corn in
2015/16 is 221 Million Ton, consistent with earlier prediction. The total
consumption in the previous year is 212.8 Million Ton. The corn feed
consumption is expected to be 148.4 Million Ton, consistent with earlier
prediction, and was 142.2 Million Ton in the previous year. The industrial corn
consumption is expected to be 55 Million Ton, consistent with earlier
prediction, and was 53 Million Ton in the previous year.
The term-end inventory of Chinese corn in 2015/16 is
expected to be 90.6 Million Ton, consistent with earlier prediction and higher
than the 88.8 Million Ton in the previous year.
