At present, the on-going integration of Food Safety Standard in our country will be completed within this year, on the occasion; the industrial standard will be integrated to be more than 1,000 items. Meanwhile, so far 64 kinds of illegal additives in food have been released in the “Backlist”. The National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China discloses that they are sorting out and discussing the “Backlist” again, and will release the new one in this July.

The coverage of national food safety risk monitoring will be further enlarged. Up to now, it has covered 86% of the county level administrative divisions in the whole country by totally setting 2,489 monitoring points of food contaminant and harmful factors. Since last year, it has monitored with relevant authorities 490 thousand food samples, 13 thousand products related to food and 19 thousand imported foods, covering all links of planting and breeding, grain storage, production, processing, sales, catering services and import and export, etc.

In addition, the National Health and Family Planning Commission of the People’s Republic of China is working towards the establishment of the food consumption quantity database for our country.
