On July 31, General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine released white paper for quality safety situations of China imported foods in the first half year of 2015. In the first half year, the imported foods in China are of characteristics of extensive sources, complete varieties, intensive imported ports and stable safety conditions. The unqualified food additives, microorganism pollution, nonconforming quality, unqualified labels and certificates become the main reasons of nonconforming imported foods. The top ten nonconforming imported foods batches are respectively beverage, pastry biscuits and crackers, cereal grain and products, sugar, other processed foods, aquatic products, wine, dairy products, spices, and nuts, accounting for 90.1% of total nonconforming imported food batches.
