Recently, General
Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) released
announcement to further normalize inspection and quarantine certificate
issuance for imported foods. The announcement regulated uniformly the type and
words of certificate. Since July 28, 2015“Inspection &
Quarantine Certificate for Entry Goods” rather than “Hygiene
Certificate” will be issued for imported foods which are qualified after
inspection and quarantine, or which have been effectively disposed after failed
to pass inspection and quarantine. When issuing “Inspection & Quarantine
Certificate for Entry Goods”, the words in certificate, “Aforesaid goods have
accepted process of inspection, quarantine supervision and management, and
approved to import” except relevant contents filled by regulations of AQSIQ.
In the future, the inspection and quarantine department shall uniformly issue “Inspection & Quarantine Certificate for Entry Goods” for imported foods which are qualified via inspection and quarantine, and list name, brand, place of origin, specification, quantity/weight, date of production (batch No.) of goods by one; mark “none” if there is no brand and specification.
