Yunnan is the province with the highest macadamia output in China at present. According to statistical data of macadamia planting area and output in China in 2014, the planting area of macadamia in Yunnan reached 75,150 ha. The macadamia output in China accounts for 3% of total world output, and will reach 5000 metric ton in this year. The future output improvement space is vast. Mr. John ·Wilkie, the expert of Macadamia said Yunnan is potential to develop to the best and largest macadamia planting, processing and export base in the world.
