The newly revised Food Safety Law has started implementing since Oct. 1. As the supporting regulations of the Food Safety Law, the Management Measures for Food Production License (hereinafter referred to the Measures) has been implemented synchronically since Oct. 1. For consumers, the most direct change is the “QS” mark on food packaging will not be used for food. The “SC” food production license number is used instead.

It is learned that the serial numbers of food and additives are comprised of three digital labels, specifically: the first digit represents production license identification code of food and food additive, “1” represents food and “2” represents food additives; the second and third digits represent category number of food and food additives.
