Bi Jingquan, Minister of Food Drug Administration, showed in Food Safety Committee of the State Council that to achieve the follow-up goal, each pilot city insists that rigorous norms be put into place, and food manufacturing companies are whipped up to prepare corporate standards overriding the national food safety norms in strictness, create brands and expand marketplace. Each pilot city should castigate law-breaching crimes involving food safety and unveil and lay a finger on ‘latent rules’ of various violations, transcending of bounds and illegal additives. We should take the initiative to set up whole-process food safety traceability system ranging from ‘cropland to dining table’ with company as the dominating force and establish a grid management system covering all production and operation companies.
