Consumers would
oftentimes encounter seemingly foreign goods when purchasing snacks in malls.
Journalists discover of late that a large proportion of seemingly imported
snacks and products are not related with the labeled spot when some only import
raw materials from abroad and many snacks marking foreign producing spots are
out and out domestic goods.
The Industry and
Commerce Department indicates that domestic food with a ‘foreign name’ can be on sales should their trademarks follow the law and
their qualifies meet the cut. Disguised imported goods or deceiving consumers
would be against the law, in which case investigations should be conducted and
compensations for consumers should be done.
