After the new Food Safety Law is put into force, foodstuff ‘QS’ mark shall be removed. Following the new stipulation, food producers with newly acquired certificates or altered certificates should mark new food production license code rather than ‘QS’ symbol in food package or label. Package and label marked ‘QS’ among food manufacturers can be used up.

From October, 1, 2012 onwards, foodstuff manufactured by food producers are no longer allowed to use original package, label and ‘QS’ mark. New foodstuff production license code constitutes 14 Arabic numerals after the capital letters ‘SC’.
