Teng Jiacai, Deputy Director General of China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) said in the 13th China Food Safety Annual Conference, CFDA is drafting implementation regulations of Food Safety Law jointly with relevant departments, and will soon establish and complete food safety law system applicable to the new law. At present, the National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) has formulated and released 636 new national standards for food safety. The task of integrating to 1000 national standards by the end of the year is expected to be finished.
