The imported food demand of Chinese
citizens is increasing year by year. The statistical data of Administration of
Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ) shows that in 2014 the
imported food value has reached 48.24 Billion Yuan, increasing 4.2 times in 10
years, with annual growth rate of 17.6%.
Meanwhile, with the emerging of e-business, all large e-business platforms carry out a series of marketing for imported foods, and the price wars keep rising, which shorten price difference with domestic foods and further cultivate potential consumers.
