On Nov. 2, the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China (CNCA) and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) signed cooperative agreement. The Deputy Director General of AQSIQ and Sun Dawei, the Director of CNCA attended the signing ceremony. According to the agreement, GFSI officially acknowledges HACCP certification system of China. When food enterprises with HACCP certificate enter GFSI membership supply chain, purchase review or foreign certification can be exempted so as to reduce transaction cost and improve brand reputation in international market. Over 4000 food manufacturers in China with HACCP certificate will directly gain benefits.
