On Feb. 2, China Food and Drug Administration (CFDA) released spot check situations for 2015 food safety supervision. Samples with excessive range and limit of food additives are about one quarter of nonconforming samples. Wang Hong, the Director of Food Safety Supervision Division III of CFDA said the food additive use problems are mainly the misuse of preservatives and colorants. In 2016, the supervision on enterprises for additive use will be strengthened.
