During
April 19-April 20, the first Workshop on Technology Advances in Food Safety
jointly held by Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Australian Academy of
Technological Science and Engineering (ATSE) was convened in CAE.
It is reported that the theme
of the workshop is “From Field to Fork-Technology Advances in Food Safety”.
The workshop contains three topics including food safety and ICT, raw material
safety and processing quality improvement, as well as food supply chain
guarantee and traceability. Experts attended communicated extensively for
science, research and engineering problems involved by food safety including
production, processing, storage, transportation, marketing and consumption, and
discussed application of new technologies particularly information technology
to the entire process.
