On April 28, Opinion on Further Improving Food and Drug Traceability System (Draft for Comment) issued by China Food and Drug Administration indicated that it is the corporate entity’ responsibilities to establish the food and drug traceability system and encouraged the production and management enterprises to apply the information technology for building the food and drug traceability system; encouraged the information technology enterprises, as the third parties, to provide the professional service for products traceability. All or different levels of food and drug supervision departments shall not compulsively require the food and drug production and management enterprises to accept the traceability services provided by the professional information technology enterprises appointed.
