Recently, Shandong Linyi Inspection and Quarantine Bureau has detected that the aflatoxin B1 content in 4 batches of imported American peanuts is 370.8μg/kg, which is far beyond the limit requirement of 20μg/kg stipulated by national standards in China. This content is the maximum value of aflatoxin B1 content detected from the peanuts imported by China so far. The total weight of the 4 batches of goods is 1,909.11 tons with the value as USD1,282,900. These imported peanuts from which excessive aflatoxin B1 content has been detected are the goods with the maximum weight and value nationwide. The Bureau has returned such goods persuade to the laws.
