The reporter learnt about followings from the Ministry of Agriculture in Feb. 4: As a key task of the national planting industry structure adjustment this year, the grain corn area of 10 million mu will be reduced in different regions in China this year, and soybeans, grains, silage corns and other crops will be planted.

In Feb. 4, the Ministry of Agriculture held a national video conference about the spring field management, spring ploughing and planting structure adjustment work. Mr. Han Changfu, the Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture expressed that, it is necessary to concentrate on the spring field management; do well in spring ploughing and make preparations for ploughing and sowing, and try to ensure a good harvest in the summer. It is also necessary to advance the planting structure adjustment continuously; improve the quality and efficiency of the supply system, and realize the target of supply optimization, quality improvement and efficiency increase, and farmers’ income increase.
