The State Council Information Office held a news conference on promoting consumption by supply side structural reform and leading open-up by “One Belt One Road” construction. Gao Hucheng, the Commerce Minister, said when answering journalists that foreign trade in China is realizing the historical transformation from large scale to powerfulness. New competitive advantages of foreign trade centered at technology, standards, brands, quality and services are come into being rapidly, and new technology, new type of business and new mode are become new drives for development of foreign trade.
　

Gao said foreign trade of China in 2016 returned to stable and grew towards a favorable trend. Consumption in China has become the first driving power for economic growth for three consecutive years. For the problem whether consumption in 2017 is still intense, Gao said consumption in 2017 will grow rapidly with increase of residents’ incomes and structural reform of supply side.
