According to website of CFDA, recently, China Food Safety Demonstration Cities Leadership Group Office and China International Engineering Consulting Corporation (hereinafter referred to as CIECC) signed national level notification and appraisal cooperative agreement, and confirmed CIECC as the third party appraisal institution for third party publicity and appraisal on first batch pilot cities. It is reported that the list of first China food safety demonstration cities will be released before June this year.

The China food safety demonstration pilot cities started from July 2014. During 2014-2016, the State Council Food Safety Office approved 67 cities to carry out pilot work by three batches, in which the pilot period of 15 cities in four provinces expired by the end of 2016. They can submit appraisal application to provincial food safety committee based on self inspection and self appraisal, and enter provincial primary appraisal and national level appraisal.
