On March 24, a delegation comprised 6 members from Yunnan Association for Science and Technology and Yunnan Society Research Institute visited Yunnan Macadamia Society under the leadership of Li Yi, Head of Society Department of Yunnan Association for Science and Technology.

Chairman Chen Yuxiu made a brief introduction on development situations of macadamia industry and Yunnan Macadamia Society, and pointed out that the prosperous development of macadamia industry in Yunnan relies on science and technology. Although the planting area of macadamia nuts in Yunnan ranks the first in the world stably, the comprehensive strengthen is much lower than that in developed countries. Chen wished great support of Yunnan Association for Science and Technology and Yunnan Society Research Institute to growth of nuts industry in Yunnan.

Li Yi, the Head of Yunnan Association for Science and Technology and Zhang Xiaobei, the Vice Chairman of Yunnan Society Research Institute affirmed work of Yunnan Academia Association, and put forward valuable opinions. Li pointed out that Yunnan Association for Science and Technology is a mass organization for science and technology workers of Yunnan, is a bridge and link between the Party, government and science and technology workers, and an important power to push development of science and technology career. Through this visit, Yunnan Association for Science and Technology went deeply to the basic-root association to know its requirements, guide its work, and lead its construction and development by new thoughts and new ideas.
