To better spread nutrition knowledge of US pistachios, the sixth “Miss California China Tour” organized by American Pistachio Growers visited Chengdu, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing successively from April 4 to April 15. On April 10, American Pistachio Growers and Miss California arrived at Shenzhen for the first time, and held media press in JW Marriott Hotel Shenzhen to share stories of US pistachio with two pistachio growers to everyone.  

In the meeting, Judy, the Global Market Vide President share nuts from different producing areas with guests on site. She said pistachios on market are from different places, but by contrast, quality of US pistachio is better. Mr. Levin Flake, Director of Agricultural Trade Division of U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou said China has become one of the largest exports of US pistachios, and meanwhile Guangdong Province is one of the important regions for pistachio trade. It is learned that U.S. Pistachios are mainly planted in California, Arizona and New Mexico. Currently, USA has over 9.5 million pistachio growers.
