On May 16, in “Belt Zone” special zone of the 15th China (Luohe) Food Expo, over 20 foreign enterprises from 10 countries along the “Belt and Road” including Hungary, Poland, Indonesia and Malaysia attracted many exhibitors.

Food industry experts said “Belt and Road” is the new opportunity for China food industry to go abroad. Currently, domestic food enterprises have went abroad successively by virtue of the “Belt and Road” and effectively promoted exchange and development of domestic and overseas food trade.

In addition, some experts said domestic food enterprises still face many difficulties to go abroad, and shall try to adjust structure and promote transformation and upgrading soon. Luo Yunbo, a Professor of China Agricultural University, said currently the foreign investment supporting links of food industry are not complete, food production process and product standard shall reach international standards. Enterprises shall take the opportunity of “Belt and Road”, aim at innovative reform of global market and push rapid transformation and development of food industry.
