Zhang Jiwen, Chief Docimaster of SASAC said on June 28 that China shall accelerate constructing traceability system of products to strengthen whole-process quality safety management and control.

Zhang Jiwen said in “China Traceability Transfers China Integrity” network torch relay held on that day that product quality traceability system plays an important role in building powerful product quality supervision system, and perfecting various basic links and systems of product quality supervision.

Zhang said the traceability label can record various kinds of product information, control source of products and strengthen quality safety management of production and circulation process. As introduced, at present and in the future, China will push production and operation enterprises to accelerate traceability system construction mainly in edible agricultural products, food, drugs, agricultural production data, special equipment, hazardous goods, and rare earth products.
