On June 28, the Inaugural Meeting of Yunnan Macadamia Society Expert Committee and Industry Seminar was held in Kunming. Top experts, scholars, honorable guests in domestic nuts industry and councils and members of the society attended the inaugural meeting. Yunnan Macadamia Society Expert Committee, relying on scientific research findings of expert members, will tackle key and difficult technical projects, promote technical upgrading and push development of nuts industry in Yunnan.

“Walnuts, pecans, and macadamia are top three tree nuts industry in Yunnan Province. The growing scales all rank first in China, but the gap with world advanced level is still big”, said Chen Yuxiu, the Chairman of Yunnan Macadamia Society said. Yunnan Macadamia Society Expert Committee, by cooperation and interaction with experts and enterprises, provides consulting for industrial standard formulation, and decision making of government for nuts industry development, provides technical service to enterprises and growers, promote commercialization of scientific results of experts, and improve development level of Yunnan nuts industry.
