Pumpkin seeds, the characteristic product
of Bayannur, are exported to India. Urat Inspection and Quarantine Bureau issued
the first C/O based on Asia-Pacific Countries Trade Agreement, realizing a
breakthrough for C/O issuance targeting at India.
It is reported from Urat Inspection and
Quarantine Bureau on July 11 that a food enterprise, Hangjin Rear Banner Sanxin
Trade Co., Ltd. exported one ton of pumpkin seeds worth of USD 2330 to India
the other day.
Person in Charge of Sanxin said the
pumpkin seeds exported are samples. If the Indian client approves the quality,
the Company will expand market and export to India in batches.
The transaction is concluded by a food
expo held in America. At that time, the Indian client was every interested in
pumpkin seeds of Sanxi. As required by the client, Sanxin tried to export
pumpkin seeds to India. The Person in Charge said “Urat Inspection
and Quarantine Bureau supported us greatly from production supervision, quality
control, inspection and quarantine acceptance and O/C issuance, and finally facilitated
the transaction”.
Moreover, person in charge of Urat Inspection and Quarantine Bureau said as one of the four largest commodity grain production bases in China, the quality and characteristic agricultural products and byproducts of Bayannur are sold good overseas. Currently, main agricultural products and byproducts in the governing area are sunflower seeds (nuts), pumpkin seeds (nuts), potato products and dried vegetables, which are sold to EU countries. According to statistics, in this year, the export volume of sunflower seeds (nuts) doubled, and of pumpkin seeds (nuts) increased 17.3%. When new products have not been put into market, the value of agricultural products and byproducts has exceeded USD 110million.
