Macadamia nuts are in growing period now. In order to help members to manage the orchard before harvest, an Australian expert, Allen went to Lincang Mayi Nuts Cooperative Growing Base on invitation of Yunnan Macadamia Association on July 18 to provide field technical guidance, and was warmly welcomed by its members.

Mr. Allen is an academic expert in macadamia nuts industry development in Australia, and an external expert of Yunnan Macadamia Association Expert Committee. Allen is good at soil and tree nutrition analysis and orchard pest and disease damage management of macadamia nuts. In the plantation base, Allen guided cooperative members about scientific fertilizer application by checking tree growth situations and fertilizer application record.

In 2015, Yunnan Macadamia Association and Australian Macadamia Society became each other’s member officially. It means members of Yunnan Macadamia Association are meanwhile members of Australian Macadamia Society, and can share resources and enjoy rights of technical guidance from Australian experts.

Later, Yunnan Macadamia Association will continue to invite domestic and foreign experts to provide technical guidance to bases of members and solve their technical difficulties. The Association will organize members to visit and investigate in Australia and exchange with foreign experts closely, and lead Yunnan macadamia to international market.
