The recent acquisition of immature macadamia nuts for private gain will have a severe negative impact on the nascent Yunnan nut industry:

Ⅰ. Advance harvest while fruit is not ripe, after baking a large number of wrinkles, flat fruit, moldy fruit, all of which resulting in poor quality and will bring negative impression on Yunnan nut such as poor quality，low price situation！

Ⅱ. Scramble Acquisition, bull campaign, caused market confusion, will lead to price mechanism collapsed, instead that push the real buyers to off-shore purchase, even if is detrimental to the interests of the vast number of farmers getting no sustainable ensuring;

Ⅲ. Damage to tree, low yield, low benefit and frequent reputation of diseases and insect pests will seriously affect the yield in the next year.

In this regard, the authorities of this association calls on members to protect the sustainable development of Yunnan nut industry and to safeguard their long-term interests, not to ruin their own brands and reputation! Consciously to prevent early harvest, to resist bad traders to acquisition in advance, not to harvest or sale, until the beginning of September!
