The 2017 “Sept. 17 China Nuts Health
Week” Opening Ceremony & Summit Forum, which is initiated by Specialized
Committee for Nuts and Roasted Seeds of China National Food Industry
Association (CNSA) and created by China Nuts and Roasted Seeds Industry, was
launched this week. It is known that over 100 million people participated in
the event leading nationwide healthy and scientific diet last year.

said under the innovation and transformation of economic new normal situations
in China, the nuts and roasted seed industry in China has undergone
unprecedented change: with improvement of people’s living standard, accelerated nuts and
roasted seed product consumption upgrading and product upgrading, and
segmentation of material, culture and spiritual consumption demands, and collision
and integration of new online marketing mode and traditional marketing mode,
the international degree of domestic nuts and seeds food market is higher and
competition is more fierce; with popularization of food nutrition knowledge,
and enhanced awareness of people for health, their requirements for food safety
and nutrition health are higher. Moreover, since FDA released five healthy
functions of nuts in 2007, the “Chinese Dietary Guide” issued by Chinese government also
contained nuts and seed food. In May 2016, the National Health and Family
Planning Commission of China issued the latest “Chinese
Dietary Guide 2016”, and again listed nuts and seeds food to daily dietary
structure chart (recommended amount shall be 25-35g per people per day).
Under such a general background, under leadership of CNSA, the nuts and roasted seed industry in China founded Sept. 17 China Nuts Health Week, which will be held from Sept. 17 to Sept. 25 every year.
