On the occasion of the upcoming 2018 the eighth International Macadamia conference in Lincang, Yunnan, In the afternoon of March 8th, Mr. Richard Coote, general consul of the Australian Consulate General in Shanghai and general manager of the Australia Trade and Investment Committee, Greater China District, Shanghai, Mr. Tim White, the commercial consul of the Consulate General in Chengdu and Mr. Alice Guo and Mr. David Lee, senior representative of the southwestern region of the Australian Trade Commission visited Yunnan nut industry association and had a friendly and warm talk with the association.

President Chen Yuxiu introduced to the guests the development of the Macadamia industry in Yunnan, and the work and efforts made by the Yunnan nut industry association to promote friendship and cooperation between Australia and China and the preparations for the eighth International Macadamia Conference in 2018. The guests expressed their appreciation for the great work to promote bilateral friendly cooperation doing by the Yunnan nut industry association and the company of Yun Macau. After that, the two sides negotiated and reached consensus on the work of closer cooperation, deep cooperation, promoting Lincang and Lismore to conclude a friendly city, inviting more Australian government departments, enterprises, experts and scholars to attend the eighth International Macadamia Congress and other aspects in the future.
