17 Food Standards and Food-Related Standards Come into Effect in February

In February, 17 food standards and food related standards come into effect, including 14 nationally recommended standards and 3 locally recommended standards.

14 nationally recommended standards came into effect on February 1st, 2018, including Canned pork minced (GB/T 13213-2017), Traceability requirements for agricultural products—Tea (GB/T 33915-2017), Technical specification for fruits and vegetables trading in wholesale markets (GB/T 34768-2017), Technical specification of meat trading in wholesale market (GB/T 34769-2017), Feed materials—Soybean meal (GB/T 19541-2017), Feed materials—Spray-dried porcine plasma powder (GB/T 33914-2017), Two dimensional code for commodity (GB/T 33993-2017), and Specification for quality information of electronic commerce product  (GB/T 33992-2017).

Among them, Canned pork minced (GB/T 13213-2017), Fragrance compound (GB/T 22731-2017), Feed materials—Soybean meal (GB/T 19541-2017), Green tea—Part 1: Basic requirements (GB/T 14456.1-2017), and Jasmine tea (GB/T 22292-2017) replaced their respective existing standards.

In addition, two local standards recommended by Hebei Province came into effect on the same day with the above 14 nationally recommended standards. They are respectively Local food safety standard—Determination of salmonella in meat and meat products by LAMP (DBS13/008-2017) and Local food safety standard—Determination of azodicarbonamide in wheat flour by HPLC (DBS13/009-2017).

One local standard recommended by Yunnan Province, Local food safety standard—Purple Dendrobium (DBS53/027-2018), will come into effect on February 19, 2018.
