A 9-member investigation delegation of Xinjiang Survey of China Nuts and Seeds Industry Development League Peanut Branch, assigned by CNSA, arrived at Urumqi on Aug. 17, 2017, and arrived at Changji State, the peanut producing area in Xinjiang. Song Zhenghai, Vice Chairman of Peanut Branch, welcomed the delegation as representative of Xinjiang, and arranged a meeting between the delegation and Director General Jia of Changji State Bureau of Agriculture. At night, the delegation and Changji State Agricultural Technology Extension Center and Bureau of Agriculture exchanged about local peanut plantation, output and fine cultivation and seeds. 

On Aug. 18, the delegation, led by Vice Chairman Song Zhenghai and accompanied by Head Zhou of Changji State Agricultural Technology Extension Center and leaders of local agricultural bureau, arrived at peanut plantation base in Jiuyunjie Town, Fukang City, and went to field to visit peanut growing base under instroduction of Yan Xinhu, the person in charge of the base. The peanuts are growing in favorable condition and expected a good harvest. Wang Hanyu, Vice Chairman of CNSA explained vast market prospect of Xinjiang peanuts, and brought great confidence to local government and growers.
   

Leaders of Changji State Government made detailed introduction about peanut growing situations in this region. Peanut growing area in Changji is 3000mu, and predicted dry frield of 500kg. The special plantation mode of “Xinjiang Beihe Peanut Cultivation Specialized Cooperative”, special technology and machine are adopted to realize whole-process mechanical operation. Changji strives to provide best quality raw materials to Chinese and global peanut processing enterprise, and looks forward to boosting peanut industry development in China by high quality peanuts in Xinjiang.
