In order to boost the high quality of Chengkou and win the tough fight against poverty, Chengkou county has formulated a three year walnut plan (2018 to 2020).Through the transformation of inefficient forest, cultivating high-quality walnut resources and improving the brand influence of walnut, Chengkou strives to make walnut industry become a 'green bank' for enriching people's income.

By 2020, the total amount of walnut resources in Chengkou county will reach 300 thousand mu, with an area of more than 170 thousand mu, with an average yield of 50 kg per mu, a total output of 8500 tons, and an annual output value of 306 million yuan.In addition, Chengkou will build walnut engineering technology research and development center and walnut industrial park to promote the development of walnut industry in 73 administrative villages of 18 township streets (31 of which are poor villages).The development of walnut industry will cover 15% of farmers and more than 30% of poor households and 10650 households (3500 poor households) will increase their industrial income. The per capita growth of farmers is more than 1600 yuan, and the income of poor households is increased by more than 4500 yuan
