Recently, the first China-Europe train from Linhe to Tehran, Iran leaved Linhe station, Bayan Nur City, Inner Mongolia, trailing 50 carriages loading about 1150 tons Hetao high-quality sunflower seeds, which will departure from Khorgos through Lin-Ha line and reach Tehran in a route of 8352 kilometers within 15 days.

This is the first time for agricultural products in Hetao area to be transported abroad through China-Europe train. In the past, the agricultural and subsidiary products in Hetao area were shipped from Tianjin port within a period of 35~40 days. For the special train, this period is only 15 days.

Located in Inner Mongolia on Hetao Plain with unique and rich natural conditions and abundant agricultural and animal husbandry resources, , Bayan Nur City is the largest sunflower production area in China, and has 180 thousand tons of sunflower seeds exported every year, with 90% of it to Middle East, Europe and the United States markets. The 1150 tons of sunflower seeds loaded on the train is from the Wuyuan County Dafeng Grain and Oil Food Co., Ltd. Zhao Jie,  the manager of the company, introduced: "as a processing enterprise, our company relies on cooperatives or farmer brokers to organize the raw materials produced by farmers, which are then sold through the raw material processing and export merchants. The export accounts for about 85% of our enterprise. The export price is 20 Fen higher than the domestic price on a year-on-year basis. Foreign demand is mainly based on eating a snack food.”

China-Europe train is organized by China Railway Corporation, as a international container joint transportation train operating between China and Europe as well as countries along the route of the "Belt and Road”, which is an important starting point to deepen economic and trade cooperation between China and the countries along the route and promote the" Belt and Road” construction, and widely welcomed by the market. Xubin, deputy director of the transportation department of China Railway Hohhot Bureau Group Co., Ltd., introduced that China-Europe transportation train has gradually become the middle power of China and international transportation due to its short distance, fast speed, high safety, green environmental protection and small impact on the natural environment, etc.

The opening of the Iran line of Bayannur China-Europe train has explore a middle east line on the basis of the original China- Europe line and Central Asian line, which has opened up another high quality and efficient international logistics channel for Inner Mongolia China- Europe train.
